iheard a noise out front last night when the sot rm was starting just as I was going to bed after watching the first half of a preseason game...I thought maybe it was a branch falling off the oak, but ThisMorning all I can see that might account for the noise is the storm door blown up against the rocker.....so I don't have to worry about cleaning up fallen tree debris after all.....oatmeal and tea at breakfast.....pizza lunch in a while, mabe back to crab cake&hushpuppies this evening......

had some of that for weds. supper.....it should do for a couple more days too, also bought frozen crab cakes and hushpuppies, all at half price....a new ache this morning...my left elbow....what next? not very many body parts left that aren't messed up somehow another bridge washed out yesterday, north of Clemson....and flash flood watch here until late tonight......muggy out now....should get up and go mop the kitchen....spilled a glass of oj this morning......

I had Thai Kitchen Red Curry Chicken with veggies and saffron rice...."ready in 5 minutes",,,,... tasty and easy so that leaves me the last of the meatloaf, potatoes and spinach for today......feeling tired, might take a nap later.....

88 and fair today

had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach Saturday, same Sunday I think....it's been getting cool enough at night to sleep OK... without sweating all that much anyway....in a bit we will have our family video chat....every other weekend is the idea... don't know if Dave is in a wifi hot spot or not, we will see....

August thIrd 2008 is when I got moved in here....

89 heat index outside AC keeping it somewhat what cooler inside.....feels like 80 under a ceiling fan.....I got some cleaning done, and a load started in the washer, but thereby missed the cooler morning hours as far as going on a Walmart trip.....if I go later it's going to be in the real heat of the day......maybe a rainstorm will come up to cool us off a bit later in the day.....saw a thing last night about Peres, the dude in Isreal who is 90 and still involved in the leadership of the country, wich is 65 years old....dang Isreal crisis has been going on my entire life!

I did make a tasty meatloaf Wednesday afternoon, with baked [otato and cut green beans......heated up lefted-overs for Thursday.....enough for today too should be, with mashed potatoes this time.....f

they are saying cooler and drier this weekend as a front moves down from the North, but then back to dog days early next week.....the big front-page article on the Greenville paper yesterday was about how everybody has been struggling this wet, hot Summer to keep up with cutting grass and other yard work... so I'm not alone in having a jungle out there it would seem.....if you mow when it's still wet, you risk fungus, etc....fungus, weeds... whatever....got the kitchen mopped up yesterday....most of it.....chili dog lunches....got grapes for snacks.....haven't gotten outside much this week....too hot, too humid, too many bugs to bite you......
