The Baptist church ladies

Put on a spread to rival a reunion feast, very nice of them.....the ice tea was most welcome, because we had all been sweating during the burial service in the early afternoon sun.....there was an awning and chairs and some breeze.....and the soldiers played taps and folded the flag off the coffin and gave it to Charlotte....and words were spoken as is proper.....they opened the casket briefly at the end.....Carl had an expression on his face that reminded me of a face WB would make sometimes......I think I heard somebody say they had snuck a bottle of Rock n Rye into the casket for him.....and then folks wandered inside into some air conditioned rooms for the food and visiting.....Rusty and Jack were there....I hadn't seen Jack since 1963, I think.....and too many other relatives were there for me to list....later a brother of Aunt Doris was there who I don't think I'd met before.....so we ate and talked and more people arrived for the church service.....Charlotte played an introduction of moving piano music, and once again proper words were spoken, etc.....and then there was more greeting and visiting.....and the core group of cousins who are always present at such occasions wandered back out to the grave site, where the casket was now safely in the ground.....we told a few more tales and made various observations and eventually we headed back to our vehicles and R.I.P Carl Lucius Tingle.....

severe fog?

the fog warning was under the severe weather heading.....was pretty foggy walking early....didn't see any school busses.....maybe it really is a four day weekend .....never did get any rain yesterday right here.....I guess I could cut the grass out back right now, while it's still just 72 and hazy....the chow mien worked well, tasty stuff and enough left for another day.....well, the mail just came....so I'll look at that and then look at the back lawn, decide what to do....

One of those days

When I look at my library books but don't pick one up to read....can't get into reading for some reason....so I walked and ate lunch and took a nap...now I might go sit on the porch and watch the motionless neighborhood.....according to fb posts the actual schedule for tomorrow is a private family burial service at one thirty, and then a family gathering with refreshments at two, and then the church service at three.....it looks like it might take a half hour or so to get there.....no rain yet this afternoon, but those pop up thunderstorms might happen again towards evening....

more rain, humidity

series of thunderstorms yesterday afternoon and evening, probably some more coming this afternoon....tomorrow I'll go find Lanford Baptist Church for Uncle Carl's services at 3:00 in the afternoon....the obituary says the family will be at home at the Old Tingle Family Place....guess I know where that is....so I had a sort of a breakfast for supper again....sausage, hash-browns, egg over easy with cajun sauce.....today I'll do beef and veggie stir-fry with noodles....might have a pimento cheeseburger for lunch.....looks like it's not raining yet, so I'll go for a walk....it will be a muggy walk I'm sure.....

A little light rain

After grocery shopping....I went walking anyway, and got wetter from sweat than from rain.....so I got stir fry veggies to have with the rest of the beef in chow mien.....and I can finish off the bratwurst today with hash browns and green beans.....the avocados didn't look that good this week, so no avocado burgers on the holiday weekend....did get some pimento cheese spread so p imento slider burgers are an option....did buy a bag of sea salt and vinegar potato chips, and creamy slaw from the deli case for my Labor Day hamburger meal.....will be burgers for supper for a couple other days too I suppose.....and chow mien will be a couple other suppers....so that's another week covered more or less.....right now it doesn't look like too much chance of more rain any time soon....staying plenty muggy though...

fog and damp

flooded where we were in June in Charleston....pictures of folks in kayaks paddling through the old market building a couple of blocks from the suite we stayed in.....no flooding here, just a steady rain yesterday......time to go grocery shopping....I need olive oil, onion, apples, maybe an avocado.....Labor Day weekend so I could have hamburgers.....I forgot curry powder last week so I can get some this time....and maybe some chicken salad from the deli, so I can fix curried chicken salad sandwiches for some lunches....those are good.....maybe some slaw too to go with hamburgers.....need orange juice.....don't know what else.....don't really feel like another taco attack binge.....we'll see.....

steamy hurricane weather morning

it's just 72 degrees.....but with 100% humidity you end up dripping sweat just walking around.....I'm going to go and see if I can get my walk around the park done before the first band of showers gets here.....rain bands off the storm are all over the South.....I had olives, onion, and swiss cheese with the steak on my supper salad.....tonight I might have leftover sausage and shells....yesterday I had brat and swiss grilled on rye for lunch.....today maybe steak with pickles and lettuce, mustard and mayo sandwich.....with a few fritos and a glass of wine.....today was poached egg on toast breakfast.....they are saying it might rain on into the holiday weekend, if the storm just sits and spins slowly....

Was sitting out front

Watching the clouds blow over in the brisk breeze....looking at the satellite picture, it's the edge of Issac that's moving in already......doing a load of laundry before supper.....steak salad is in that picture......maybe the dryer has stopped by now and I can get the stuff in and put it away.....staying in the 80s, but feels pleasant with all the air moving through the house....not bad at all for still being August......a house down the street has Halloween decorations out.....before Labor Day.....oh well.....

football games

I didn't watch all of the 49er game, but I did watch all of the Panthers and the Jets.....so I was up until around 11, and slept pretty well.....the pasta and green salad supper worked ok, some of the sausage and shells left over for another day.....but I'll do something with the beef today.....it was in the 60s this morning so I went out early and mowed the front......but now I don't feel like doing anything much, tired myself out I guess.....that's alright, there's nothing I have to do anyway....

Sunday, August 26, 2012

Quiet

There was a dog yapping but it stopped.....well I read the Sunday paper, now what? I might go for a drive, just for something to do.....or I might just keep going on my library books.....I was watching that Braves game so I just had a sandwich for supper yesterday....today I'm thinking of making sausage and shells with a bratwurst cut into small pieces.....just fake some kind of sauce, with butter and Parmesan cheese or something.....and a salad on the side.....there's a football game on this afternoon.....49ers and Broncos might be something to watch for a while anyway.....

Saturday, August 25, 2012

Laurens won, Clinton lost

the first football games of the season.....Laurens upset highly ranked BHP in overtime, while the underdog Red Devils got whomped 41-7.......the Saturday Greenville paper always has a whole section about high school games until it's all over for another year.....the great weather stays with us, so walking is pleasant in the morning....and a breeze comes through the house most of the afternoon.....hurricane rain is expected in the Upstate Wednesday, under the current computer model.....80% chance one thing said......today I can have a steak sandwich for lunch, and figure something to do with leftover beef for supper.....had a bratwurst supper last night.....Braves are on TV playing at Giants this afternoon, I'll try to remember to watch that....sounds like the mail just came.....I'll check that out and then go for a walk.....

The blog ate it

I just wrote an entry but instead of posting it said Error 402 and I don't know where the entry went....

The London broil

came out fine.....I cross scored it and left it out for a couple hours rubbed with olive oil, black pepper, and oregano....then broiled it five minutes on each side and let it stand ten minutes and then you could get perfect little thin slices of medium rare beef off it.....so some lunch sandwiches can be beef this week too....I went over to the freshman block party for a while....lots of folks there, and a pretty slick local band playing that has a couple albums out I think....and they do all the usual southern rock stuff and 90s alternate pop sort of......they are going to do another show still as the last City sponsored street dance of the Summer, so it will be a pretty long gig for them tonight...it's raining in the area, but not right here......not on the street thing.....

north wind 5 mph

70 degrees, cloudy......so it was comfortable walking this morning....I read in the paper that it was officially a wet August.....I could 've told you that.....so it should be a good evening for the back to college wing-ding and street dance....rain not predicted.....I'm trying to remember exactly how I cooked the london broil last time, because it was real tender......I'll figure it out, hopefully.....the pork chow mein last night worked ok, and I managed to do the right amount of noodles so there were no leftovers.....lunch today can be bratwurst swiss melt on wheat.....the floor shark worked great when I tried it yesterday, after it was charged up.....it can do the kitchen too instead of using the broom and dust pan.....I can probably make beef stir fry with some of the london broil for a supper sometime.....tonight I'll have it sliced thin with fried taters and a side salad

Wednesday, August 22, 2012

clearing off after a cloudy morning

they had a special on london broil roast at the store, and I got the smallest one in the case.....1.72 lbs. for $5.14.....I'll broil that tomorrow I guess....today I'll use up the last of the pork with sweet and sour sauce and chow mein noodles.....stir fry.....my snack mix this time is cajun trail mix and chocolate Cheerios in equal proportion....my lunch meat with be bratwurst.....I got more rye bread and more swiss cheese.....the mild days and cool nights continue, with heat lightning in the distance sitting out front before bedtime.....the car registration came in the mail, and I put the new tag on the license plate.....also got the utility bill.....used less electricity this July than last July....well the billing cycle runs from the middle of the month in this part of town, so the cool beginning to August is what really made the bill lower I suppose.....so I paid the City bill, and the broadband bill too while I was in the bank program.....

Tuesday, August 21, 2012

yard work out back

got that done on a cool morning.....mostly cloudy, mid 60s.....there was more meat left on those ribs than I thought, but I did get them finished off.....don't think I need to go driving anywhere today.....don't know what's for supper yet, have to figure that out.....maybe shopping tomorrow I can find a small roast of some sort, haven't done a roast in a while....I'll need eggs and bread this week.....it might end up raining some this afternoon, but Wednesday is predicted to be clear and dry....

Attention creates reality

Attention Creates Reality

Whatever we have attention on becomes more real. The more attention we have on it the more real it becomes. At the most fundamental level reality can be defined as to what we truly believe is real, what we allow our attention to focus on. Attention is the life force of the universe. It has been called "Chi", "energy", "Qi", Prana, etc.

Whatever we withdraw our attention away from becomes less real and will eventually dissipate if we do not give our attention to it.

How do we explain that some things seem to persist in our reality even when we stop giving them attention?...there is an unconscious automatic supply of attention you are giving it. Finding the unconscious source of fixed attention and relaxing it from the creation is the way back to living deliberately and managing your life reality.

Being ignorant of the mechanics of this process or avoiding/denying it does not make it different or make it go away no matter how much we wish it would. We must become self-aware and explore how and what we direct our attention (our life force) toward in our lives if we are ever going to truly experience fulfillment, lasting happiness and peace of mind.

There are little known ways to rapidly accelerate this process...

The Self Discovery Techniques are a revolutionary strategy to accelerate the self mastery process!

Well, my reality must be food and weather, since that's what I pay attention to....at least blog-wise....

more rain in the night, cloudy and cool this morning

the weather lady last night was calling for Fall weather for back to school today.....low 60s and take an umbrella.....patchy fog in some areas, drive carefully.....at the corner of Pitts and Elizabeth they had a patrol car watching 'cause people always speed up along there.....faster than the posted limit seems to me.....and lots of drivers neglect to signal what the heck they want to do there.....the traffic volume was back up to school day level for sure.....so in a bit it will be time to go over to the library, and maybe grab a couple things at the store too.....I can have ribs, ranch beans, and salad for supper.....and there's still turkey for lunch sandwiches.....things were soggy on the early walk, judging from the standing water in places it must have rained pretty steady in the night.....and tonight might be a repeat of that....

Sunday, August 19, 2012

By noon

The rain has all moved off to the East......so I was able to get out and do some walking.....hardly anything moving in the middle of town....as I was headed back a train did come through, but it wasn't a very long train.....maybe I'll schnitzel a pork chop for supper, haven't done that for a while....

about 4:30 in the morning

a thunder storm came rolling through.....not much wind but plenty of rain....here after 9 it's still raining lightly....so no morning walk today.....the pork ribs came out just right, tender and juicy....enough left over for another day.....I watched the Red Sox beat the Yankees last night....tonight there's preseason football on at 8 I think......it's too wet to sit out back and eat my apple, so I'll have to switch to the front porch for that.....birds will come for the apple core after a while.....I toss it out on the lawn....tomorrow is library day.....so being rain-cooled it should stay in the 70s today.....

Saturday, August 18, 2012

Ribs

Well a thunder storm came through in the afternoon while I was doing the video chat with the bros.....so with things being cooled off pretty well I went ahead and put the St. Louis style rack of ribs in the large iron skillet and in the oven......I'll have beans and salad with that for supper.....Sunday morning there will be tequila honey wheat berry French toast with sausage links, black coffee, and pineapple orange juice......I like this weather, it's better than the usual August dog days...

60s, north wind

for a while this morning....long enough to get out front after reading the paper and do trimming and mowing in relative comfort.....still ended up pretty sweaty.....I forgot to turn on that preseason football game last night......I was watching another 70s movie I guess.....there's a baseball game on this afternoon I might watch.....Boston and New York I think.....didn't feel like a heavy meal last night so I had a salad.....red leaf lettuce, olives, swiss cheese, avocado, turkey breast sliced up, wheat thins, and red wine vinegar dressing.....and black pepper.....I might do the ribs this evening.....with the avocado all gone now I can have turkey sandwich for lunch with swiss cheese and pickles and lettuce....light on the mayo.....got a couple of ceiling fans on, with a few windows open, moving some of this nice north wind air through the rooms...

Friday, August 17, 2012

tea plantation

they do grow tea on one of the islands near Charleston.....there's a Charleston Breakfast Tea and a couple of other blends.....distributed by Bigelow......I just buy the generic tea at the grocery store, 100 bags for 99 cents, something like that.....had tea with oatmeal at breakfast....lunch will continue to be turkey avocado sandwich until the avocado is used up.....several options for supper, haven't decided yet.....the nice weather is here again today, humidity is lower so things are more comfortable.....should stay in the 80s again.....the meter reader went around this morning, so early next week will be the utility bill....I mailed off the car registration check when I walked for the paper this morning, I go right by the post office.....I guess it's December when property tax comes round....or maybe November but it's not due for 60 days or some such, don't remember.....I guess this is the last weekend of vacation for school kids .....

Thursday, August 16, 2012

milder weather continues

great for walking.....some chance of rain over the coming weekend.....so it was leftovers last night, and today can be a pork chop, hash browns, and a salad.....I forgot I had lettuce when I made my turkey-avocado sandwich yesterday, but I can add that today.....if there is a rainy day soon that could be when I put the ribs in the oven.....the guy who has the music shop is in a band that's playing at the park over in Laurens tonight.....I might try to make it over there to watch, but by after supper I usually don't feel like doing much of anything except watch the news and whatever else on TV.....it's 68 degrees outside right now, predicted high today of 88......

Wednesday, August 15, 2012

clouds, cooling breeze

probably won't get really too hot today.....the wind kept it nice out walking....pork sale this week at the grocery store.....so I've got pork chops and ribs .....today I can just heat up some beef curry....last night I had biscuit and gravy and two sausage links with an egg over easy.....breakfast supper.....I got a bag of frozen hash browns too....and the bread this time is honey whole wheat.....I got pineapple-orange juice.....for lunch I fixed avocado and mesquite turkey breast on the wheat bread with a little mayo.....a nice sized ripe avocado for a buck-fifty.....so I got some red-leaf lettuce too, so some meal can be avocado, olives, turkey salad? good price on the turkey breast today.....the gas bill came and I paid it.....I got a card for Colton's birthday next Wednesday....and I got the local paper and went through it....school starting seemed to be the big story.....registration starts today for some grades.....

Tuesday, August 14, 2012

raining in Georgia

it might get here in a while.....but so far just cloudy and cool....good for walking....after lunch I might go over to the music shop in Laurens and get a replacement for the string I broke on the red guitar.....the beef curry rice dish came out pretty hearty.....leftovers of that for today I guess.....
I used up the curry powder, so I can get more shopping Wednesday.....I should finish off the corned beef for lunch today.....nothing in the mail but something from an insurance company....after record setting heat in June and July August is actually running a little below normal temps so far.....that's alright with me for sure....but it's always stinkin' hot the first couple weeks of school isn't it? and that's coming up here quick.....the rye bread is about gone, don't know what I'll get next....maybe whatever is marked down this week.....

Monday, August 13, 2012

63 this morning

hasn't been that cool in a while.....maybe since May.....so I went for my walks, and vacuumed, swept, mopped the kitchen floor.....and sitting out in the back yard eating an apple I heard chickens clucking.....sounded like a couple of houses over down Washington.....they made it legal to keep chickens in the city limits about three years ago, but this is the first time I've actually heard any close by.....there were a few cars this morning at the Pharmacy School, they must be getting ready for classes pretty soon....the Canteen food services truck was there too.....I should get that meat out of the freezer for later today....I guess I'll make curried beef with brown rice and whatever veggies I can come up with.....

Sunday, August 12, 2012

staying real nice today

not the unsettled weather we've had lately, with thunderstorms
or at least the threat of them....so I did get out and mow the backyard while it was still breezy enough not to be too sweaty.....and had a corned beef and swiss cheese biscuit for lunch, with pickle slices, a pickled pepper, chili cheese fritos, and pinot noir.....played Meddle and then Atom Heart Mother on mog and now it's playing similar old stuff at random....or by program, however that works.....so I plan to do a french bread pizza in the toaster oven and eat it in front of the tele while watching the closing ceremony online starting at 4EDT......I've read that elements of Pink Floyd and the Pythons will be included....and the Kinks maybe.....the guy who is producing did say in an interview I saw yesterday that Waterloo Sunset would be part of a medley of some sort.....I've got books to read, but I might just go take a nap.....my eyes keep closing anyway instead of following what's on the page......

clear Sunday morning

not much chance of rain today, and it shouldn't get all that hot either.....I might try to get the weeds out back knocked down while it's still in the 70s before lunchtime.....got the thing in the mail yesterday to get my new license plate tag ......it says my DMV fee is reduced because I'm over 64.....fine with me....it's 55 bucks and isn't due until the end of next month.....I'll pay it this week anyway, get it off my desk.....

Saturday, August 11, 2012

walk, rain, walk

that was the pattern this morning....now it's overcast and cool.....yesterday around 7 in the evening the front lawn was dry enough to mow, so I did that....the back is still growing.....went to the store this morning for ice and wine.....so lunch today can be pinot noir and the last hot dog.....supper can be a piece of sirloin, corn, biscuit and gravy.....pepper gravy on a little steak, sounds good......I think I can get the closing ceremony tomorrow live and direct on BBC/nowheretv.....they say Monty Python might show up for it.....

Friday, August 10, 2012

weeds are sprouting up from all his rain and heat

but they aren't going to get knocked down until there's some cool dry morning.....the storm last night went on for a while and really soaked everything.....I guess up around Greenville there was some flooding and roads closed and power lines and trees down etc......the power stayed on here anyway.....so I had reheated chicken with corn and biscuit and gravy while the rain poured down at suppertime.....today I might just microwave leftover enchilada and beans.....I can make a grilled swiss and corned beef on rye for lunch.....looks like some sun coming through the clouds....but there are still clouds that look dark enough to be rain clouds.....got my walking done already so it can rain if it wants to......

Thursday, August 9, 2012

foggy and cool

this morning.....got my walking done without too much sweating.....didn't do a gravy supper after all....had a sirloin and spinach salad with swiss cheese and wheat thins.....and a red wine vinegar dressing......there's a street dance this evening....if it doesn't get rained out again....this is the last one of the summer put on by the City.....next week there is one put on by the College that they do every year when school is starting back up......they have a lot of booths at that one with people from stores, church groups, civic organizations, etc....the idea being to get the students introduced to the community or something.....so pretty soon the traffic doldrums will be over, and all the school busses and crazy mothers will be driving around in circles again.....have to start walking on sidewalks instead of down the middle of the street.....

Wednesday, August 8, 2012

really nice out

around 70, lightning flickering in the distance....lightning bugs flickering over the lawn....bats flittering around street lamps.....groups of kids running around and making the dogs bark on their last weeks of vacation from school.....crickets, frogs, whatever kind of critters singing their songs....slinking black cats....wait long enough and you'll see a 'possum....but thank goodness we don't have the skunks around here that we had at Lake Wohlford....I don't miss them at all....

Division One?

Went shopping and picked up the local paper at the grocery store while I was there....the big news is that Presbyterian College is now in NCAA Division 1......it's the smallest school in the country playing with the big guys....what's the point? They are going to play Georgia Tech in football in a few weeks......want to put some money on the mighty Blue Hose? Foggy this morning, staying more or less cool for another day....comfortable walking weather....dinner menu might be leftover chicken with biscuits and gravy and cut corn....have a little sirloin steak for some night....and some steak tips in the freezer that need to be used up soon I imagine....probably in a curry, maybe in a chili.....the chicken enchilada with pintos was yesterday, and there's a dish of that leftover....two hot dogs left.....and I got swiss cheese, so some lunches can be corned beef and swiss on rye.....bought oatmeal, butter, orange juice, and eggs this week too.....

Tuesday, August 7, 2012

Under a mountain of muggy

The weatherman last night was saying the moist tropical air was piled up in clouds reaching to six thousand feet.....so there hasn't been much sun today but it is still getting up around 80.....I did get some walking done after lunch, just a few drops of rain then.....I imagine there will be more rain towards evening.....every once in a while a nice bit of breeze will come through the windows....but all in all it's another afternoon where you don't really want to move much unless there's some good reason....

rain last night, rain this morning

severe thunderstorm warning for the area.....but it's cooler....not good walking weather, so maybe I can clean house some and call that a little exercise......boy, it's really coming down out there.....well, I don't need to go anywhere.....wait 'til tomorrow for shopping.....still have chicken that I can do something with tonight.....had poached egg on rye toast at breakfast, rye toast is tasty stuff.....probably have another chili dog with cheese and onion for lunch....I have Oak Leaf Chardonnay in the fridge, a three litre box......

Monday, August 6, 2012

civic holiday Canada

that's what it said for today on my calendar over the kitchen table.....turns out that the first Monday in August is a day off work for many Canadians.....didn't know that, we live and learn.....they call the holiday by different names in different parts of the country.....good chance of rain this afternoon....clouded over pretty much this morning, staying cool so far.....I had curried chicken salad on rye toast for Sunday supper....and a salad of spinach greens and raisins.....guess I'll go out for a walk now.....

Sunday, August 5, 2012

milder weather

a big storm cooled things down into the 70s yesterday evening.....and it's cloudy this morning so it's not heating up as fast.....rye bread french toast and sausage for breakfast today.....lunch can be either a chili dog or a taco.....read the Sunday paper already.....remembering to take the trash to the curb is the only other thing I can think of that I should do today.....otherwise it's just business as usual....laze around the house.....

Saturday, August 4, 2012

that works really well

I looked at a web page that showed how your posture should be for playing the piano....on the bench I had I was too hunched over....my spine wasn't straight, and my wrists and shoulders were getting stressed too....so with the right height stool things are much more easy and flowing....and it's a good solid piece of furniture I can rely upon I think.....25 bucks in a box at Walmart....what do you want from life?

cooler but still muggy

that's what the weatherman said for today....he's correct.....over at walmart I got a "saddle stool"....for use as a piano stool....because the bench that came with the piano is old and wobbly.....some assemby was required of course....took half an hour and copious sweat....also over there I got a package of boxer shorts and a very large white pocket tee shirt.....no sales tax on clouthes this weekend....or on anything "back to school".....I'm not going back to school, but I took the tax break anyway.....to celebrate my four years here I'm going to go get a Big Mac Meal.....do that maybe once a year .....with Sweet Tea......well, it's too muggy for any more walking right now....maybe I'll walk after dark like lots of folks do around here.....last night out on the porch there was a lighting show in the clouds....but it was far enough away that you couldn't hear the thunder much.....I had reheated chicken and rice and a spinach salad for supper....tonight I might have french bread pizza and salad.....

Friday, August 3, 2012

scattered clouds, haze

staying cooler this morning, so I went ahead and did the front yard before the sun got too high....the chicken dinner worked OK, plenty of that leftover......from the front porch last night late I watched the full moon rising through the thin glowing clouds....with plenty of Cutter sprayed on to keep off the mosquitoes....actually, the bugs weren't very bad because of the nice cool breeze? Went to bed about ten-thirty......right after supper I ran the AC some, but by nine I could open the windows 'cause it was down to 80 by then outside....had been a high of 95 for Laurens on the 5 o'clock news.....is there really less news happening in the world during the Games, or is it just that everybody thinks gymnastics is more important than the latest disaster in Africa? or where- ever.......sure seem to be lots of countries with floods lately.....floods at the Games would get time on the broadcasts.....I still need to wash up some of the kitchen things from last night, left them to soak overnight.....enchilada sauce sometimes clings to things seems like......

Thursday, August 2, 2012

E-Z pollo asado?

put the little bird in the slow cooker with a small can of red sauce and about a cup of chopped cilantro....we'll see how it does....mostly clear and calm this morning, mild....in the 70s....finished off the frijoles yesterday....cooked four tacos, ate two and put two in a sandwich bag for maybe Sunday lunch.....spanish rice and spinach salad will be the sides with the pollo.....that will be several suppers this week.....curried beef and french-bread pizza are also options....should be a slight cooling trend over the weekend.....tax-free weekend for some things in SC.....also the weekend of the 4th anniversary of my moving to Clinton.....so I might go out for lunch Saturday, by way of the annual celebration of the Great Escape.....the Exodus? a one man exodus.....watched a "cult" 70s movie last night.....Blue Sunshine....in which some classmates at Stanford in 1968 take some acid.....and 10 years later their hair falls out and they become psychotic killers with super-human strength.....I guess I'm lucky that I missed that batch of acid.....or did I? maybe it's lying latent in my blood even now bwa-ha-ha! aarhg!

Wednesday, August 1, 2012

grocery shopping

got that done early on, got a chicken for $3.61.....just a small one....I'm going to try putting it in the crock pot with enchalada sauce and some cilantro and onion....got some spanish rice in a box....still have some tortillas....going to have chili dogs for lunches.....stayed cool enough for sleeping overnight.....this morning is 70s and muggy....of course....some clouds and some breeze helping out.....I got rye bread this time around....my snack mix for the week is honey nut cheereos and "cranberry nut antioxident trail mix"....sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds in that....so this should be another ceiling-fan day .....keep the electric bill down I hope....
