edges of Beryl

out walking earlier you could smell charcoal smoke, as folks were out on front porches starting traditional holiday cooking.....why front porch cooking, instead of the back yard? Because when one of those seasonal rainstorms comes through for half an hour you can sit secure and dry under the porch roof and keep smoking the ribs......now the sun is out again.....some company that developed a housing project in Greenville with houses for first-time and low-income buyers built a neighborhood where every house had a front porch, like this mill village housing.....they are talking to Clinton government about building 15 houses here, over where 108 comes into town....with front porches.....for a community feeling, they say.....
