Didn't make it to the library yet
You can renew books online....so I did that while waiting for AAA to come tow the Jeep the two blocks to the garage.....starter went out.....Carolina Automotive says they'll have it done in a little bit, $175 total for a new starter installed....maybe I will get to the library today after all, though I don't have to now.....its good having a garage you can walk to, and free towing with the auto club card....it's always something, isn't it?

Had the car back early in the afternoon, works fine of course....and they had washed it....didn't expect that.....
ReplyDeleteSome months ago I started hearing a whining noise up front while I was driving with the window open....not very loud, but persistent.....couldn't figure what it was....apparantly it was the starter hanging up only partly disengaged from the flywheel.....eventually this tore it up, of course....hence the need for a new one....
